Springboard Community Services, a non-profit organization in Maryland with 175 years of history, faced marketing and communications challenges post-rebrand. Legacy donor reengagement, attracting new donors, and engaging community partners were key difficulties. Initially seeking website evolution, our discussions uncovered broader needs: expanding visual elements to encompass services, updating social media content, and refining internal and external communication strategies.
Stereoscope conducted a comprehensive brand and strategy audit. We assessed touchpoints, brand consistency, performance metrics, and internal processes. After identifying weaknesses and opportunities, we presented Springboard with findings and recommendations. Together, we developed a robust brand and strategy guide, setting the course for brand evolution. Implementation included redesigning collateral, establishing visual standards and templates for social media, creating sub-brands, restructuring the website, a one full awareness and one mini program-specific marketing campaign, and integrating task management software with a marketing request form used by the other departments. We field-tested new standards through a year-long 175th-anniversary campaign, designing marketing collateral and developing a legacy strategy that aligned with Springboard’s history and goals.

This challenge was an incredible opportunity for us to stretch our creative muscles and make a compelling ad that got the attention GDIT needed. First, we developed a concept that was designed to showcase RAVEN’s modular nature, onboard technologies, and all-terrain capabilities: a hurricane that devastates Florida.
This approach allowed us to show RAVEN as it gets activated, prepped, in-route, and on site coordinating an emergency response. This storyline was crafted to make a statement emotionally by creating a sense of urgency within the narrative.
Once the creative direction was solidified, we got right to work building our crew while planning the shoots; a three-day production that required us to capture RAVEN in several situations to cover the concept.
All said and done, we generated enough of a content library for RAVEN that contributed to a 2:00 full-length video, a :30 cutdown for social media sites like LinkedIn, and 15 retouched stills for use across all digital and print platforms.
Animation
To pair with the photography and videos, we also produced a 3D demo animation that would play during in-person trade shows that featured RAVEN. This animation showcases how GDIT’s innovative technologies support RAVEN in real-world situations on a global scale.
Three unique environments were built for this project, including a command center with multiple screens that featured a fully customized UI, a stylized globe of the Earth, and a rendered aerial of a modern cityscape. The storyline unfolds between these environments in a way that allows the in-person presenter to talk during the animation while viewers can easily follow along.

Ultimately, these pieces were designed to grab attention and engage customers, both virtually and in person. Online, the RAVEN videos have received thousands of impressions on GDIT’s social channels, leading to higher awareness of their mobile command center and the larger communication technologies they’ve built to support it.
In 2024, GDIT participated in several industry trade shows and featured RAVEN at each event. The videos were prominently displayed so attendees could learn more about the vehicle, while the animation was used to demonstrate how GDIT’s latest communications technologies (which includes RAVEN) work in the field.
